    Species Reactivity:

    Mouse

The antigen sequence used to produce this antibody shares 100% sequence homology with the species listed here, but reactivity has not been tested or confirmed to work by CST. Use of this product with these species is not covered under our Product Performance Guarantee.

Species predicted to react based on 100% sequence homology:

    Human

    Source / Purification

Polyclonal antibodies are produced by immunizing animals with a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues surrounding Gln166 of human WIF1. Antibodies are purified by peptide affinity chromatography.

    Background

WIF1 (Wnt inhibitory factor 1) is a secreted protein that binds to Wnt proteins and inhibits their activity (1). It contains an N-terminal WIF domain and five EGF-like repeats (2). The WIF1 ortholog in Drosophila, Shifted, is required for Hedgehog stability and diffusion (3,4). It has been reported that WIF1 expression is downregulated in many types of cancers (5-8).
