    Protocol

    Specificity / Sensitivity

STEEP Antibody recognizes endogenous levels of total STEEP protein.

    Species Reactivity:

    Human, Mouse, Rat

    Source / Purification

Polyclonal antibodies are produced by immunizing animals with a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues near the carboxy terminus of human STEEP protein. Antibodies are purified by peptide affinity chromatography.

    Background

STING ER exit protein (STEEP) is a highly conserved, ubiquitously expressed protein, which has been shown to be a positive regulator of the cGAS-STING signaling pathway. Mechanistically, research studies have demonstrated that STEEP constitutively interacts with STING to coordinate STING ER-to-Golgi trafficking, which is an essential step to ensure productive STING-dependent signaling and gene expression in response to viral infection (1).
