    Protocol

    Specificity / Sensitivity

NDUFB9 (E7W6K) Rabbit mAb recognizes endogenous levels of total NDUFB9 protein.

    Species Reactivity:

    Human, Mouse

    Source / Purification

Monoclonal antibody is produced by immunizing animals with a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues near the amino terminus of human NDUFB9 protein.

    Background

NDUFB9 is an accessory subunit in complex I (NADH: ubiquinone oxidoreductase) of the respiratory chain in mitochondria (1). It is shown that a mutation in the NDUFB9 gene leads to reduced NDUFB9 protein levels and lower complex I activity, indicating a role of this mutation in mitochondrial complex I deficiency (2). In addition, research studies using affinity purification and mass spectrometry show that ORF9c of SARS-CoV-2 (severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus-2) interacts with NDUFB9 in HEK-293T/17 cells when ORF9c is expressed in HEK-293T/17 cells (3).
