    Protocol

    Specificity / Sensitivity

EXOSC10 (F4Q2B) Rabbit mAb recognizes endogenous levels of total EXOSC10 protein. This antibody detects a 32 kDa band of unknown origin.

    Species Reactivity:

    Human, Mouse, Rat, Monkey

    Source / Purification

Monoclonal antibody is produced by immunizing animals with a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues surrounding Gly877 of human EXOSC10 protein.

    Background

Exosome component 10 (EXOSC10), also known as RRP6 or autoantigen PM/Scl-100, is a 3’-5’ nuclear component of the exosome complex with 3’-5’ exonuclease activity. EXOSC10 is essential for the 3’ end formation of 5.8S rRNA, as well as the degradation of improperly spliced or polyadenylated mRNAs (1-3). Additionally, EXOSC10 regulates the proper 3’ formation of small nucleolar RNAs (snoRNAs) (4). EXOSC10 is the antibody target in polymyositis-scleroderma overlap, an autoimmune disease (5-7).
