    Protocol

    Specificity / Sensitivity

CRELD1 (E1B6T) Rabbit mAb recognizes endogenous levels of total CRELD1 protein. Species reactivity for flow cytometry is human only.

    Species Reactivity:

    Human, Mouse, Rat

    Source / Purification

Monoclonal antibody is produced by immunizing animals with a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues near the carboxy terminus of human CRELD1 protein.

    Background

CRELD1 (Cysteine-rich with EGF-like domain protein 1, Cirrin) is a multi-pass membrane protein in the CRELD family of ER-resident proteins (1-3). During embryonic development, CRELD1 is critical to heart development, and mutations in CRELD1 are associated with Atrioventricular septal defect 2 (AVSD2), a common cardiovascular malformation (2-4). CRELD1 may also play a role in homeostasis of the immune system, as low CRELD1 expression was found to be associated with reduced T cell numbers in blood (5).
