Human IL-37 Recombinant Protein #98014

    Product Information

    Storage

Human IL-37 Recombinant Protein is supplied as lyophilized material that is very stable at -20ºC. It is recommended to reconstitute with sterile water at a concentration of 0.1 mg/mL which can be further diluted in aqueous solutions as needed. Addition of a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA) is recommended for long-term storage.

Once in solution, store at 4ºC and use within 1 month, or store at -20ºC to -80ºC and use within 3 months to prevent loss of potency. Aliquot to avoid multiple freeze/thaw cycles if storing reconstituted material at -20ºC to -80ºC.

    Product Description

    MW (kDa) 18-20
Purity A greater than 95% purity was determined by SDS-PAGE.
Endotoxin Endotoxin levels are less than 1 EU / 1 μg hIL-37.

    Source / Purification

Recombinant human IL-37 was expressed in E. coli and is supplied in a lyophilized form.

    Background

Interleukin-37 (IL-37), previously identified as IL-1F7 (1), has been found to play a vital role in inhibiting innate and adaptive immune responses (1,3). It is known to be expressed in various cancers and autoimmune disorders (2). As a member of the IL-1 family of cytokines, IL-37 functions as an anti-inflammatory cytokine and is often elevated in patients with inflammatory and autoimmune diseases (3). In contrast, deficient endogenous levels of IL-37 can contribute to the severity of inflammatory responses (3). IL-37 can interact with Smad3 by forming a complex, translocating into the nucleus, upregulating PTPN expression, and regulating other downstream target expressions (4).
