Product Information

Product Description

This Cell Signaling Technology® antibody is conjugated to Alexa Fluor® 750 fluorescent dye under optimal conditions. This antibody conjugate is expected to exhibit the same species cross-reactivity as the unconjugated Pan-Keratin (C11) Mouse mAb #4545.

Product Usage Information

Application Dilution
Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin) 1:50 - 1:200

Storage

Supplied in PBS (pH 7.2), less than 0.1% sodium azide, and 2 mg/mL BSA. Store at 4°C. Do not aliquot the antibody. Protect from light. Do not freeze.

Protocol

Specificity / Sensitivity

Pan-Keratin (C11) Mouse mAb (Alexa Fluor® 750 Conjugate) detects endogenous levels of total keratin 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, 13, and 18. This antibody conjugate does not cross-react with other keratins.

Species Reactivity:

Human, Mouse, Rat, Monkey

Source / Purification

Monoclonal antibody (isotype: IgG1) is produced by immunizing a BALB/c mouse with a cytoskeleton preparation from A-431 cells.

Background

KHSRP, also known as KSRP, is a KH domain-containing AU-rich element (ARE) binding protein (1). It recruits degradation machinery and activates mRNA turnover (2). This protein was previously shown to function as a regulator for splicing (3). KHSRP associates with both the Drosha and Dicer multiprotein complexes (4), and controls the biogenesis of some microRNAs by binding to the terminal loops of these microRNA precursors (3). KHSRP is found in neural and non-neural cell types in both the nucleus and the cytoplasm (4).
